Carolyn & Jorge! What an amazing story. I met Carolyn, oh, 20 years ago? Give or take? She was best friends with my little sister and her brother was best friends with my little brother. Good family friends, for a very long time. Carolyn traveled the world, and while volunteering with the Peace Corps met Jorge. He moved up here to the states and they decided they wanted to elope, and have a small ceremony at Deception Pass. It was a perfectly sweet ceremony, about a mile hike past Bowman’s Bay. Carolyn got changed in the woods behind a colorful blanket. Everyone helped bring what they needed for the ceremony up the trail, including a bunch of camellia flowers to scatter in the field. With close friends and family, the bridge in the background, Carolyn and Jorge said their vows in Spanish and it was just beautiful. After their intimate ceremony, we went back to The Vasquez house to have a fun fiesta to celebrate the newlyweds. Lots of delicious food and drinks, and ending with a pinata, filled with booze! It was such a fun day!
